IS IT REALLY NOVEMBER?

At 7:30 AM today, I was talking to Heidi on Skype before leaving to meet my friend for breakfast. We go each Wednesday we can. I looked out the window and saw this beautiful sky.

I took three angles, and all were different. I love looking at the sky. It can be so wonderful at times.
I am having a very hard time thinking next week is Thanksgiving. Our weather is unseasonably warm. I went out grocery shopping and I think I have everything except the turkey. I am not cooking until Sunday. Bill works a double on the holiday and Eric and Becky will be in Toledo with her family. I told them Sunday will work out better for all of us. I hope you all have a great dinner, wherever you go. I am cooking the Sunday after Thanksgiving, and yes Heidi, I am baking pies.
Chocolate Peanut Butter will be one.

MY NIECES AND ME

On November 12th, my niece (on the left) celebrated her 60th birthday. I cannot believe it, but it is true. On the right is her sister, Bonnie. Bonnie lives in Pennsylvania and came to surprise Brenda.
Brenda's daughter, Mindy, had a surprise party for her Mom and she really was surprised. It was good to have some time with both of these special girls.
Thanks Bonnie, for the picture. Hope we get to visit you soon.
I just found out I won a giveaway on Robin, Bittersweet Punkin's blog. Thank you so much Robin.

CANADA AS USUAL

Here we are again at the entrance to the Inn at Lock 7.
Of course, I did all the pictures in the wrong direction and don't know how to fix them. This is road leading to the Inn.
On the way in, this ship was in the lock so we stopped to take this view of how big they are, not from the balcony.
This the Inn coming up the hill. We had the center top room, my favorite.

The following are murals painted on the side of the wall on the way up. I hope I didn't just erase any. I am hopeless with this. I see I did lose the very first one saying it is Throld. Oh well.

Now you can see some of the ships we saw, including the tugs, I love them.

KEEPING BUSY AND A SHORT TRIP

The other day, I stopped in Big Lots and not even looking for one, I found this book. I love this author and was very pleased to come upon this sale. I am about half way through it now.
I am in the process of knitting one of two sweaters for my Zoe. She wears a school unitform now and can only wear certain colors. This is one and I am also going to make her a Navy one. I have the sleeves to do now. I kept thinking this was going to be too big, but maybe not. Mandie says she is now 50 inches tall. Oh nooooooo.
Since the doctors now told me to never let anyone use my right arm for blood pressure, blood tests or shots. I made this braclet to remind me and them to use my other arm. The beads are pink but don't show up very dark. The closure is magnetic.

One of my breakfast group friends, who bought two ponchos from me, showed her sister in law the ones she bought. She wanted three for her Granddaughters. I had one made that she wants. She asked me to make one in pink and grey and one in red, white and blue in size 8 for the other two. She also might want the matching bears. Here I go again, knitting ponchos.
We are thinking of going away for a few days this week. Maybe Canada, our favorite, not sure yet. We will leave tomorrow but I will take my mini laptop with me.

OH YES, I'M HAPPY

This is me today. I am definitely doing the Happy Dance. I went woohoo when I got off the table, (Heidi told me to) and then I really did leave the area doing the Happy Dance. They were laughing at me. Oh well. I feel like I have broken the chains binding me to TREATMENTS. Yeah, they are over. Thanks again all of you. I can get on with healing my skin and hopefully being normal again.
Heidi, I did tell them you told me to do the woohoo.

I AM TRYING AGAIN

Most of you know I bought a laptop about 6 months ago and took it back. I have been looking ever since. Walmart had an ad this week for this laptop so off I went, with my Son, to see if it was as good as it sounded. It is.

This laptop is a 4 gh of ram, full keyboard and really nice. The one I had to finally give up on that I had for about 5 years, was an Acer and I loved it. So far, this one is just great. It was onsale at Walmart for $348.00. We thought we would get there and one, they wouldn't have any, or two they would not really be 4 gh of ram.

I still have my mini for travel, but it wasn't great for everyday use. I think they are better now though. I bought it too fast. Oh well, live and learn. If I had it to do over, I would buy the 10 inch, not the 8 but it is so light to travel with, it will still go with me.

THE CUTE LITTLE VAMPIRE

I just received this picture of our cute little Vampire aka, Zoe. I cannot believe that she is now 50 inches tall. Mandie just measured her for me. She is only 7.
Ok, here is a good question for you, how can a vampire be scary when she has no front teeth. LOL. She is giving it a good try. I love you Zoe.
