A CHANGE OF GIFT PLANS
Yesterday, we went to Berlin, Ohio (Amish Country) and I found a new store there. The couple who own it were outside hanging quilted bags up. Well, needless to say, I had to check them out. I ended up going inside and boy, they have some wonderful items and it is a great gift store. I just HAD to buy myself this mini backpack. I used to carry them all the time and haven't lately. These bags are less than half the price of Vera Bradley.

I
loved this pattern sooooo much, that I decided this one had to be my cousin's birthday gift. I am still working on my cross stitch and will be finished before I go, but it might end up staying here. I will still take the yarn and make dishclothes while I am at her house, and also the other cross stitch I want to start. Hope she likes her purse, I know her taste very well, but it is really never so easy to pick someone else a purse.
These are really cute and I can just see you falling in love with them. I am sure Louise will love that purse. She will like anything anyway cause she loves you! :)

I really love these! Handcrafted items are the best. I've often wished that I lived near Amish country. I love the simplicity of their items and their furniture. I had a neighbor who had a bunch of furniture she brought back here after her divorce and I really loved it. We don't see much of that style around here. Cindy
ReplyDeleteHello Nancy, I can understand you fell in love with these bags, they are so nice!

Nancy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to get this wonderful hand quilted bag for your cousin. She will just love it, and your back pack looksamazing - how useful and pretty too. I got a tiny denim coloured backpack for Alexis's girlfriend Becky. She loved it.
Oh how I wish was wandering through Amish country with you. What a treat.
Warm hugs, Angela
Hi Nancy, I love your backpack and the purse for your cousin is so pretty. I don't wish for much in my life but I would love to visit Amish country especially after reading the books Heidi gave me. I love the way they live and the crafts they do.
ReplyDeleteWarm hugs,
Hazel (UK)
Nancy, Both are gorgeous. I especially love the handbag. The Amish in our area don't make these lovely pieces. Your son and his fiance make a wonderful couple. How happy you must be.

Hi Nancy
ReplyDeleteCute bags. I like anything with a patriotic look. What is the name of the singer you like who I had singing What a Wonderful World on my blog before I changed it? I want to change it back but couldn't remember his name.
