A GIFT FOR ME AND ONE FOR A FRIEND

I received these beautiful flowers from Mandie, Manny, Zoe and Abby for my birthday.  They have come out so pretty.  I have them sitting right beside my chair.  Thank you again for thinking of me in such a nice way.

Almost four years ago I had surgery for Breast Cancer.  I met another woman who was having her surgery also with the same surgeon.  She was so scared and shook up that I befriended her while sitting in a wheel chair waiting to get a marker inserted for our surgery.  I made her a winter scarf a couple a years ago, and now decided to make this one for her.  Hope she likes it.  So far, we are both cancer free.

MORE PROJECTS

I started stitching this Indian with her Wolf.  I am not going to make her an Angel.  I have put it aside right now however.  I made this baby afghan for my Daugher in Law to give as a gift.  She says the theme is Lady Bug.  
Now, I bought yarn to knit three sweaters.  I have the one for Heidi going now.  I have the back and one front finished and about half way through the right front now.  It is fisherman knit.  Hope it fits.  She already saw the yarn.  I work on it as we talk on Skype everyday.

TWO KNITTED BIRTHDAY GIFTS

The brown fisherman knit sweater was for Manny's birthday.  Mandie said it fit and she took his picture in it, but I didn't get it yet.
The vest I made for Heidi's birthday.  It is a knitted up the back down the front pattern.  It was too plain, so I added crocheted edges.    She says she has worn it, so guess it was okay too.  Now,
I have a cross stitch in the making and planning three more sweaters and a baby afghan I just got a request to make.  Guess I will be busy.  
Yesterday I got back from Florida and now it is 17 and snowing like mad.  A little change. LOL
