My farm on Farmville has taken on the look of Christmas. I have many Dutch neighbors on my farm. Happy Sint Day to all of you.
December 5th is the day Sinterklaus gives gifts to the "children" (Okay Heidi, I know you are only 6). His helper is Piet and there are many of them running around Holland right now. Sint comes from Spain in a boat then gets on his white house to ride through Holland. Hope you were all good this year.
We were out shopping and along came a Piet band. Heidi got two Piets to stop to take a picture with me. They have little cookies in the bags and hand them out to the children wherever they go. They all look like they are having fun.

Good to hear your home again. Hope the flight went fast and pleasant.
I have to thank you again for the poncho. I just love it. I had two lady's in my house that are a little bit jealous.. But with the snow and the freezing cold I wear it almost every day!!
It was fun that you got be see Sint and Piet again this year. I am helping Sint again this year with a few little surprises. :-)
Love and hugs,
Heidi
I had asked Heidi about the Piets. Interesting. This sounds like such a fun tradition. I'm always fascinated to learn how other people and cultures celebrate. It sounds like you're having a wonderful time! We are too but I haven't had any time to blog about it! Oh well, I'll catch up soon!
Thanks for stopping by. I knew you'd been in Holland and enjoying that time with Heidi so I wasn't worried when I hadn't heard from you. What a wonderful time that must have been. She's such a sweetheart. Yes, Trav is home but it looks like he'll be flying out again on Dec. 27th. They're making travel arrangements right now. I'll miss him but this time won't be near as bad. I'll get to talk to him again on Mother's Day and then he'll be home next December. He's grown up so much. I've truly been blessed to have this "intermission" in his mission. He did well with the surgery but since he had a few "bad" days the doctor decided to keep him that extra week. Take care of yourself and enjoy the holidays!
