NEW LAPTOP

My laptop bit the dust, as many of you know. I got the cord repaired and a new battery, nothing works. I am in New York again, George and I came up to see Mitch. We arrived on Sat. and we are going home tomorrow, Monday. When I bought my first laptop, Mitch helped me find it. He found me another one here this time. It was at Best Buy, and was a good buy lol. I am now trying to get used to it. Oh, by the way, it is Blue. I wanted a blue or red and without seeing it, it was the last one they had with none on display, it was blue when I bought it and opened it. Yeah.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIC AND MORE KNITTING

May 23rd was Eric's birthday, we drove to Toledo on Sunday to see Becky and him and I took this cake for him. I hunted the first picture they took of him in the Navy.

This is a poncho I made to fit about a 10 to 12 year old.
This one is about a five year old size.

The hat is chrocheted, and the two little ponchos are for Barbie Dolls. I did make two more hats that I will show later.

I BORROWED A PICTURE

This is a happy home coming for our wonderful soldier, Mitch. He got home just the other night, from a year in Iraq. Welcome home and I am so happy you are back with your great family. I love all of you very much. Thank you for keeping America safe. Please keep all of our military in your prayers as they serve so well.

A PONCHO MADE FOR A FRIEND

My laptop is not working again, so I had George take this picture. One of my online friends wanted a poncho to wear with jeans. I made this one and told her she can look at it and see if it was what she wants. If not, no problem, I will add it to the pile to sell at the craft show.
The colors are are navy, light blue and varigated blue. They are not showing true colors.
I forgot to finish a doll poncho I made while in New York, I will post it next time, when I also finish the second half of the other one I started
A big surprise, my Granddaughter, Kristy is blogging again. Christian Crafter, on my friends list.

MORE FINISHES

When I went to New York, I had two ponchos started. I have to have the first half to knit the second half. I didn't want to carry them, so, I took yarn and started another one. This it it. I finished the fringe last night. This one is for a child. The button says Imagine.
I layed it down beside the adult poncho, so you can get a size idea. I want to make even smaller ones also. I am now going back to the two I left unfinished.
While waiting to go to Walmart in New York for a different color yarn, I decided to make this scarf. It is purple, but looks sort of blue. Kristy make the hat when I started the poncho. I will add this to the for sale items. It is for a size of about a 5 year old.
The purple yarn did not at all go with the colors of the poncho. I started it and thought oh no way will this work. The new color was better.
To answer a question about the cookbook I made, I made six for my family, but not one for me. LOL

I'M GOING HOME TONIGHT

Tonight I will be boarding an Amtrak train heading back to Ohio. I leave Syracuse at 9:40PM and arrive in Cleveland, Ohio at 3:30AM. The hours for the train service are not good, but the price is great, and I do like riding the trains. They are very comfortable.
I will talk to you next from Ohio, I have enjoyed my time here with Kristy and the kids, Mitch will be coming home very soon.
