WIP FINISHED NOW

I just finished the little boy fishing, so I hung them in my bathroom that I did all in red and white. I know Heidi, I am not supposed to put them under glass, but since they are in the bathroom, I did it anyway.
Ok Heidi, I had to put this on for you to see before you leave for Applesauce. LOL. I would have had it done but I had to take the face out because I used the wrong color. I am my own worst enemy. I bought frames yesterday at Marc's so I could frame these all alike to hang in the bathroom. I want to make one more little girl on the other fabric, then I will go back to my sheep.

LOVELY CARD FROM SONJA

When I came home from Florida, this very cute card was waiting for my from Sonja. Sonja lives in Holland and is Heidi's lacemaking friend. She is so kind to stitch this very cute snowman for me. I will treasure it and it goes into my collection.

I started stitching a fat little sheep in Florida. When I got home, I decided to do another little boy because the one I did was on 14 count and whiter than the other ones I did. I will still hang it in the bathroom, but seperate from the others. This one will be on the same fabric as the other two. I just love these kids. This is my new project now.

THREE COUSINS AND AN AWARD

This is my sister, my cousin and me at John's Pass in Florida. It was beautiful weather and we had fun everyday running around. We did go out one evening to see Anne Murray. It was a great show. We had a great visit. We went to the circus museum in Sarasota and the flee market.
Heidi gave me this award and I really love it that she thinks I make her day. Thank you Miss Heidi. I love having you as a daughter.
I will give this award to Kristen (Christian Crafter) and Mandie (ArmyWife is my Life) because they make my day everyday. I love those two girls soooo much. All of you bloggers really make my day also, so consider yourself awarded.

STITCHED IN FLORIDA

I just got home from Florida a couple of hours ago, Heidi doesn't know I'm back yet.
Every evening after a day of running around, we stayed home with our feet up and I stitched the whole time. I started the little girl while I was home, but finished her and did the little boy while there. They are just laying under the mat right now. I will frame them and put them in my bathroom with the jumping rope kids. I had a wonderful time and will share some pictures soon.

I WON'T BE BLOGGING FOR A WEEK

Tomorrow, my sister and I are flying Airtran to Florida to visit my cousin who winters there. We will be staying until the next Tuesday.

She lives in St Petersburg, and of course, we will be going to the flee markets there. They are huge.

On Sat. evening, we are going to see Anne Murray. I really like her, but have never seen her show. I picked out my next cross stitch pattern, and started it last night. Guess I will take it with me. It is small, so no problem to take along. Happy Blogging till I get back, my cousin does not have a computer.

FINISHED I THINK

Ok, I think I am finished with my first cross stitched picture. Heidi, do not inspect it too close.
I am sooooo sure you will find about 50 mistakes. It's ok, I will hang it in my red and white bathroom so it won't be seen too freely. LOL.
I am going to try the bookmark now, I have to keep stitching to be ready for Henry VIII.

DOUBLE BLESSED BY BARBARA

I just received a second valentine swap gift. As I said yesterday, Barbara was my swap mate, and her husband was very ill. Nancy stepped in and sent me a gift which I opened yesterday.
Today I opened this wonderful package from Barbara containing this Mrs. Fields chocolate, a very nice card with a nicely written message and the two items handmade I am showing you next.

This is a wonderfully stitched little pillow. Barbara, your stitching is so pretty. I really cannot thank you enough.

Barbara and her husband made a tree full of little snowmen. I am so lucky to receive one which can now be added to my snowman tree. What do you think, am I not one lucky person?
I forgot to add a picture of the cute little heart shaped buttons.

AN EXTRA SPECIAL VALENTINE GIFT

In an online group I am in with Heidi as list mom, we decided to do a Valentine Swap. This is the gift I received and just opened today.
This is a wonderful little pin keep made by Nancy R. She couldn't have picked a better subject.
I am adding it to miy little sheep collection.

This is the back of the pinkeep. Now, I have to tell you, that Nancy was not my swap partner, but Barbara's husband was very ill and had to spend many weeks in the hospital. Thank God, he is home now and on the mend. Barbara of course had little time to herself, so Nancy told her not to worry she would take care of it. Now that is a friend.

By the way, this Dutch card maker is my favorite. Heidi and I visited her shop in Holland.

SNOWDAY FOR MITCHELL

Since Mitchell and Haali are homeschooled, they don't get snow days. Schools are out here in Ohio because of snow. This is the third day for no school. Grandpa asked if Mitchell and Haali are getting days off too. I said no, they missed when they moved. He said ok then, I want to be their principal. He loves those kids.
This is just a picture I found online. Sorry if I mislead you.

FEBRUARY 12th IS A VERY SPECIAL DAY

A "FEW" years ago, in Canton, Ohio, a special little girl was born. She was named Heidi Lynn.
When she was only one week old, we moved to Maryland. (The Air Force doesn't wait). This is Little Miss Heidi on her birthday.

When it was birthday time, Heidi had to start running around the house, and fell into the corner of a coffee table. Yes, she has a black eye.

This was a party year, so she had to have more than one cake. This was taken in Texas. One of the pictures would not download, sorry. Happy Birthday Miss Heidi. I love you.

Also having a birthday on the 12th is one of our two very special soldiers, Jason. He is a new addition to our family and we love him already. Jason in stationed in Quatar right now. We want you to stay safe Jason and come home to Mandie and Zoe and the rest of the family too.
Happy Birthday.

IT IS FREEZING TODAY

Ok, enough of this weather. Our high today is only going to be 14 degrees. I am soooooo ready for spring. Next week my sister and I are flying to my cousin's in Florida for a week. Yeah.

HERE WE GO AGAIN

I don't know if you can tell, but I just took these pictures and it was snowing like mad. Is it Spring yet? I wish.
As I am writing this entry, the sun is shining. Are we going to have a Snowbow? Crazy Ohio weather.
Eric leaves this morning in his Semi to take a load to Chicago, from there, he is going to Florida.
Now that is a real contrast. Chicago has snow. Stay safe Eric.

BILL'S LATEST PROJECT COMPLETED

The scarf and hat are now finished, and now Bill is going to take my red wool yarn and knit a sweater I planned to knit for myself. It is fisherman knit, lots of patterns and he is ready to take it on. He started the ribbing today and even the ribbing has cables in it. Good luck Bill.

MAKING PROGRESS

My little girl is coming along quite well. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish her and start on the little boy. I love watching it come to life.
Heidi, don't worry, I will get my red sweater. Bill wants to learn fisherman knit, so he is going to try it. I am knitting the front of Eric's sweater now.

HAPPILY STITCHING ALONG

Ok, this is where I am so far. I am stopping to put the thread on plastic cards as I go along. So far, I am having fun with this.

THE CHOICE IS MADE

After going through the entire book I showed on my last entry, I decided on this picture to be my first cross stitch. I hear Heidi talking in my ear as I am doing it. Yes, I made a loop on the back so I do not have a knot. I have no doubt, the back will not look like yours and George's when I am finished. He listens to you better than I do.
I started in the center, just like you told me to, and this is the little girls sleeve. George and I were childhood friends, so I thought this was a cute first project. I want the next one to be Henry the VII and his wives. Thanks to Angela, I will have it to try. I truly love England.

MY NEXT PROJECT (ATTEMPT)

Heidi, Kristy and I were discussing cross stitching on Skype one day. I said I would like to try something because I want to do Henry VIII and his wives. I think that would be way to big a project to be my first. Kristy found this book online and we ordered it for me to pick up at Border Books.

The pattern I most wanted that we saw online is not in the book. It was these children running after a double decker bus. Anyway, I like this one so this might be my first choice.

This is a bookmark, so maybe it would be better. HUMMMMM. Ok Heidi, which one should I try?

FEBRUARY ALREADY

I cannot believe January is already gone. I am just trying to get used to writing 2008. Oh well, I am looking forward to Spring so I guess it is ok. I can most definitely do without this cold and snow. Think spring.
Heidi has a birthday this month, and now we have added Jason to our family and he also has a birthday the same day as Heidi, on Feb. 12th. He has to spend his in Quatar so we will be with him in thought.
We also can look forward to Happy Valentine's Day.
