TWO FINISHED GIFTS

My Granddaughter, Mandie is having a birthday tomorrow.  She said it is cold in her office at work and she wanted an shawl.  She already got it in the mail so I can post it and say Happy Birthday.

We have for many years had a waitress where we go every Friday for breakfast. She loves owls, so I usually buy her owls where I travel. She even has a lace one from Belguim.

This past Thursday, she had major surgery.  She will be off work for many weeks.  I thought she needed something to keep her warm through her recovery. I thought an afghan would be good.  I will give it to her boss this week to give to her when she is home and up to seeing him.  They are friends also.

Both things are great and I am sure they will both love them. You worked on them both while we were skyping each other. We hold a yarn bee now each afternoon...lol.

Love and hugs,
Heidi

What a wonderfully thoughtful gift on both accounts. Your granddaughter will be toasty warm now and your waitress friend will be so surprised and happy to have a friend think of her at this time. :)

Your shawls are going to be SO appreciated. I know there's nothing better than a handknit shawl for feeling warm and cozy.

The best present is a self-made present. And for your friend recovering from surgery it is a great medicine!
