TWO YEARS NOW

First, thanks Heidi for the border. You always manage to find what I want. I just got my letter saying I am two years cancer free. Hopefully soon, they will find a cure so no one else in my family has to have breast cancer, or any of my friends either.
Now, I fell on July 20th and thought I sprained my ankle, well, no, I broke my ankle. I walked around on it for 8 days then finally had it checked. I am now in a red and white cast and looked like a candy cane, until they added a blue shoe. Now I am the flag. Leave to me to wait all these years to break a bone.

You've never broken a bone?! Sorry that you had to spoil your record but your cast sounds awesome! Thanks for stopping by. Yes, it was quite a month but I'm looking ahead with faith that August will be much better! Today's my day off and what better way to start a new month? :) I hope you heal fast. On the bright side you don't need to stand or walk to email your granddaughter with the new computer. I think that's great that she got a computer and can email her grandma when she wants. Take care of yourself.

Ooops, I was over responding to Heidi's comment and remembered that I didn't congratulate you on being two years cancer-free! Let's keep that going! I hope too that they find a cure or prevention soon so that no one else need ever go through what you have. I'm so glad to hear this good news and I apologize for not leaving it in my comment. Take care. Maybe you can spend the day knitting and keep that foot elevated! See, I found a rainbow (happy moment) about your broken ankle.

Well, it is normal as you get older to be more prone to breaking a bone and especially when your bones are thin like yours. BUT quit falling off stairs!!!!!!! And yes...that is an order. :-)

Glad things are going well and maybe today this doctor will tell you that you do not have to come back and see him anymore.

Love and hugs,
Heidi

Oh dear, Nancy,
I'm so sorry to hear you've had an accident. I can remember only too well, when Rula broke her foot, how frustrating it was for her and the rest of us. I hope you will be able to settle down with a good book or some pleasant stitching and patiently let the ankle heal. I can imagine you are not one for sitting still very much...haha!
What fantastic news about having passed that momentuous milestone. LIke you, I pray that a cure for this dreadful disease is not too far away.
Thinking of you.
Warm wishes Angela xx
