MAY WE NEVER FORGET 9/11

I hope there is a flag in every American yard or on their houses somewhere. We can never forget this sight. I remember exactly where I was and I bet each of you do also. Pray our country stays safe from harm and take time to thank our Military Men and Women who are out there protecting us everyday.

I had some good news today when I went to see the Oncologist. I will not have to have Chemo. She had a test done in California called, Ocotype DX. You are rated and I scored a 16. In the lowest catagory, you have to stay below 18. If you stay in the lowest scoring region, you do not need chemo. She said I could have it since it was on the high side of that scale, but there were three higher regions. I hope I am explaning this. She said if it was her Mother, she would tell her she didn't need the chemo. I said thats good enough for me.
The bone scan showed no cancer but she said I have extensive arthritis. Ok, I knew that, I can deal with that. She said it is in my spine, my feet, my ankles, my wrist. Okkkkkkk, I get it. LOL
I have to have a bone densitity test tomorrow, but that is nothing, I had one before. I know that is spelled wrong, but you get it I think.
I go tomorrow also to have the consultation with the doctor who will do the radiation. They said it will take about an hour and a half.. When the radiation
starts, it will be everyday, Monday through Friday for six weeks. I am fine with that also.
I have to take a pill everyday for five years.
Ok, sorry I wrote a book. I just wanted to say PRAYER does help and I had a lot of people praying for me out there. I thank everyone of you. I didn't want to have chemo and now I don't have to.

This is good news Nancy. I personally am glad that you wrote a book bz I'm learning so much from you about this. I still keep you in my prayers and I hope that the radiation goes well for you. You're so brave. Thank you for the reminder of 9/11 also. I feel very deeply about remembering this and if you've been anywhere near my blog the last week you definitely know this. Take care of yourself and thanks again for updating us with your news. May God bless you and our country.

Great news about the chemo Nancy. It's amazing how we breath a huge sigh of relief when we get positive news like that and then sail through the news that we have arthritis from the tip of our big toe to the top of our eyebrow :>) Seriously though, it's such good news. It sounds as if you've got a consultant there that inspires you with confidence.

Tomorrow will be a day of deep sorrow for many thousands of people and our thoughts will be with them through what will be a long and difficult day.
Hugs Angela

Hi Nancy, I am so pleased you are
not having chemo, I will still be keeping you in my prayers thru the journey that lies before you. I know all about arthritis and how painful it is but at least it is not life threatening. My thoughts are with you all today and may peace be with you.

I am happy for you that you won't have to deal with chemo. Does the arthritis give you problems allready? Is the hospital far from your home? Hope you have time and energy for your knitting and x-stitching. Thinking of you, Sonja.

LOL...I think you should have held up your hands and say arthritis...what is that. One thing we all know in this family is that we are going to have arthritis. Glad you are happy with the results and before you know it, the radiation will be over with.

I hope the US government starts to get on the ball and take care of the firemen finally that are ill after 9/11. They risked so much and are being forgotten. It was sad seeing them being interviewed on TV.

Love and hugs ~
