Spinning Wheel

This spinning wheel was found by Heidi in a second hand
store in Holland. Jos, my son-in-law had to stand in line
to get it because the store only sold items on a Sat. morning.
My husband had to take it apart to bring it home in my
suitcase and put it all back together here. The wool is from
sheep on a farm in Northern Holland and spun by the owner
of the sheep.

Neat picture mother! I remember all of this very well of course. Right down to going to the farm to look at buying all the wool she had spun for you. I even got to see the cute sheep that gave you that wool.

Love and hugs ~

Hi Gramma! I love your new blog! :o) I remember when you brought the spinning wheel home, and how excited you were to find the wool spun right from the sheep that were there. Now I have 3 blogs to keep up with...Geesh!

Love you!

What a gorgeous piece of craftmanship. And the spun wool looks amazing draped over it. Brings to mind the days of simplicity and peace.
