We have a very famous shop in our town. Anyone who moves away and comes back has to stop by to get candy and nuts. I know, I was one of those people. You can even order online now.
It is Heggy's. They roast the nuts in the shop and when you go in, the aroma is wonderful. You can eat in their very small area or at the counter on stools. They have people ordering for everywhere. I have been going there since I was too young to go to go alone. My sister used to take me.
The other day, I went in to buy some nuts for a friend's party we are going to on Sunday. While in line, (yes, a long line) a lady was talking about buying their chocolate in bulk. I never knew you could. Well, I did, and the nuts they use in their peanut clusters, and yesterday I made them. They are soooooo yummy. Wish you could share with me.

This really looks very yummy to me too! And as I am a little bit hungry now, they look even more yummy. Well I just go and have my evening dinner and hope the yummy chocolate feeling will disapear. (but I think it will never really go away....)groetjes Sonja
YUMYUM YUM! Yes as a fellow Cantonite...I agree! However, I don't attempt to go there at Xmas time. I've learned my lesson the past. The Peanut clusters and whole cashews are my absolute favorite!
Oh Gramma! This brings back SO many memories for me and I have to tell you I really do miss it! They have the BEST chili and buttered french fries! And everything else is sooo yummy too! Next time I'm in town we will have to go get Chili! Love you!!!!

I thought of you today....I went to Goodwill and all their Christmas stuff was 99 cents...I got a snowman blow mold!! He's in my livingroom all lit up....I'll have to post a pic next week!!

I know what you mean. The kids and I just love going to the Hershey's factory in Smith Falls, On. and loading up on the bulk chocolate. The plant is now closed but the store is still open.
DH, for some strange reason, dosen't like chocolate. Oh well, more for me!
Now Eric...stop eating all those chocolates cause I can hear you sneeze from here! :)
They look so good mother! It has been ages since I was at Heggy's since we did not eat there the last few times I was home.

I love nutty chocolate especially if it's yummy dark chocolate! What a temptation it must be living so close to this wonderful place.
