A GIFT FROM JONI

Yesterday, I went to the mailbox and found this wonderful gift from Joni, who lives in Lancaster Pennsylvania. She is my partner in our online stitching groups Summertime Swap. My gift was sent to Britt in Germany. Britt posted it on her blog.
I am so pleased with my gifts. I received a pattern, a pinkeep and thread which we were supposed to send to speak of summer. The little bag held the thread and pinkeep.
This is a close up of the pinkeep and Joni says it is the first one she made. I love it and am honored to have the first one she made. Joni knows I love the USA and this is perfect with the flag on it. The back fabric is red and white. Our gift was supposed to be handmade and speak to us of summer. This fits the bill.
Now, this part I am not sure of. LOL. I think Joni has more faith in my ability as a stitcher than I do. I know Heidi has these angel and made at least one and it is beautiful and VERY hard. I said I love doing people, but can I do this. HUMMMM. Thank you so much Joni, I do love my gift. Sorry for the glare on the picture.

I am so thrilled to hear that Joni had made her first pinkeep and was so waiting for it to arrive. I could not give away who your swap partner was. And here you were thinking it was me. :) I am worried my package is lost as it should have arrived on Tuesday at the latest. Boohoo! Anyway, this design was so you and I know you will have it sitting out for the 4th of July. Great job Joni!

By the way, you like doing people so give it a try.

Love and hugs ~
Heidi

Your pinkeep is beautiful and you can see Joni put a lot of care and thought into. I am sure you can stitch the beautiful Lavender and Lace lady after all you are the General who would try anything.
Warm hugs Nancy,
Hazel

What a wonderful pinkeep! Those little crabs are darling.

I have faith in you that you can stitch the angel. Those patterns have all whole stitches in them so it shouldn't be hard just time consuming. Go for it!

Ha ha! Heidi's package is not lost. It arrived by Spanish donkey while we were out this morning.
As for the gifts you received from Joni well I just love the pinkeep she made for you. Looks to me as though Joni has been making pinkeeps forever as this one is so beautifully done.
Nancy you CAN stitch the Lavender and Lace angel. One x stitch is pretty much the same as another.
This design just has more of them!
Enjoy your goodies. It has been a good exchange hasn't it?
Hugs,
Margaret

Nancy,
What a lovely surprise gift from Joni, it's really summery and is perfect for you :>)

I love the way Joni has finished it, I can't beleive it's her first ever pinkeep - she's a natural.

The thread is so pretty and the L&L Angel is just a natural progression for you, nancy. Your stitching is going from strength to strength.

What a really lovely exchange this has been :>)
