GIFTS FOR ME AND BOOKS

Eric and Becky gave me this little bear (on the left) when I was going in for my surgery. Before they went back out on the road in the truck, they gave me this picture. I didn't hang it yet, just put it in the holder so I can look at it and decide where I will hang it. Thank you both for the nice gifts.
While Becky was here, she thought I should do some pink bears. This is just one of them.
These are a couple books I am going to read. I don't read as much, since I am busy with my knitting.
I went to the oncologist today and so far no decision is made for treatment. Today she did a blood test and chest exray. I am set for a bone scan on Sept. 3rd. She said they don't automatically do chemo anymore. The test will determine if it is necessary. I'm happy to hear they don't just say oh well, we will do it anyway. I really liked the doctor and that helps.
I want to thank all of you for thinking of me and saying prayers. I am sure they will be helping. It is nice to know friends are out there. Bloggers are very special people.

What fun gifts you just got! I'm happy too that you have confidence in your doctor. It really helps you to concentrate on getting better when you trust in them, at least that's how I am. Have a great weekend!

I'm glad they are not rushing you into anything......take your time to make the best decision for you Nancy. Read everything you can find, know what questions to ask, then you will feel in control which is the best way to ensure you get the best treatment.

My thoughts and prayers are with you on this journey.

Warm hugs - Mary.

Hi Nancy....it's good to hear you are doing well. I'm happy you like your oncologist, it's so important because she will be watching over you for a long time...I just had a bone scan, not to worry, if it was like mine it was easy.

I love you little bear and picture...what a wonderful sentiment. Sending you positive thoughts and keeping you in my prayers. Hugs, Linda

Now knitting in pink.. Seems a right choice, cause every little girl loves this color.
Will chemo not be necessary? Or will this kind of treatment be to heavy for the result you can expect of it?
And yes, it is a good thing you feel confident about your doctor!
Wishing you all the best in the decisions you will have to make.

Yes bloggers are special people. I am glad things are going in a way that you feel better about. Be sure to ask lots of questions and always look things up yourself. Doctors are people too you know. They just sometimes think they are not. :-)

Love and hugs ~

Nancy,
What lovely gifts these are. they are so personal and loving. I adore the little pillow with the saying about flowers and friends and the little Fancy Nancy book in the background looks very intriguing.
You're held in the thoughts of so many people and that generates a huge healing energy :>)
Warm hugs Angela
