COMING RIGHT ALONG NOW

My warrior is really coming along now. I have his feet and the rest of his pant leg and that seems like nothing now. I loved doing the blanket and now the leg seems bland, but has to be done. I cannot wait to start on the squaw. I feel like I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel now.
Today I am a little sad, remembering Fawn, my daughter who died. She would be 51 today and would be so proud of her beautiful daughters and grandchildren.

Fawn died in 1995, so we have missed her for way too long.

You are crazy! I would never had stitched this. That blanket would drive me nuts...lol. Has Bill seen it now that it is this far? He will be telling you 'Just stitch Mom!'...lol. Glad you are back to stitching again.

As I told you, Fawn hated turning 30 so she found a way to make her little sister her big sister. When I see her in heaven, she will laugh and tell me that I am an old lady. :-)

Love and hugs ~

Hi Gramma,

I miss mom too...but she died in 1995...right after I moved to PA. I was 16 and Kristy was 18....I wish she was still here to see how her grandchildren have grown. Love you bunches!

Nancy, your warrior is looking good. Not something I would chose to stitch however!

My heart goes out to you for your loss of Fawn. I know how you feel, my pain is still very close to the surface, as you know. But we have lost far more than just Gordon

Hugs,
Barbara

I'm so sorry for your loss of Fawn. I can't even begin to imagine your pain. You're in my thoughts and prayers this day. Heidi's comment made me smile though. What a loving little sister she is.

The warrior is so beautiful! Some day I need to break down and buy a magnifying Ott light so I can stitch again. My worst problem is my eyes get so worn out working on the computer all day that it's hard to see later on. I honestly didn't make a correlation to my working on a computer until the eye doctor told me that's why my eyes have so much trouble adjusting for reading and stitching. He's right too. On my days off I can actually read a bit and sew if I do that first thing in the morning and avoid the computer.

I think about Fawn alot and when I think of her I picture that beautiful little cousin always smiling and she was the only one that could get it thru my thick head how to french braid Samantha's long hair!! She was taken too soon and is truely missed by everyone who knew her!! Love, Barbi

I'm so sorry to hear about Fawn. Your mentioning this just reminds us all that our children are the most precious thing in the world - even and most especially our adult children. Hugs.

He is absolutely fabulous, Nancy! I'm afraid that blanket would have made me bonkers but I'm glad you enjoyed stitching it!

Nancy, your warrior is amazing. Beautiful stitching, and the blanket is awesome, all the color changes are truly a labor of love.

So sorry about the loss of your dear Fawn....thank goodness for memories we can always carry in our heart, they seem to help.

Warm hugs, Linda

Hi Aunt Nancy,
We will always miss Fawn - she was such a happy fun person! When I think of her I still think "Sissy"!
I know how much you still miss her but she left you your beautiful granddaughters and grandchildren to cherish. I'm thinking about you - all of you. She'll always live in your heart!
