About Bill

This is my oldest son, Bill. He is featured on my Grandaughter Kristen's blog, Knitting 101.
When he was about 8 he learned to knit. The last time he attempted to knit, was a sweater
at age 13. He made the back then quit. I finished that sweater. I think he will finish this one.
He is nearing the bind off at the underarms, and the stitches are perfect. Good work Bill.

He came today in a sweater I knit for him several years ago. I thought you might like seeing the stitches close up. Right now I am making another sweater for Eric with the sheepies, as
he calls the yarn I bought in Holland from the lady on the farm who spins it.

Wow, Nancy, knitting obviously runs in the family. I love the cream cardigan Bill is wearing. The pattern looks really complicated. Do you follow patterns or have the patterns in your head. I ask because in Cyprus tthey knit a tremendous amount in the winter months but they never use patterns. My mother knitted beautfiully but all the designs were in her memory. All the patterns they use for crochet in Cyprus are also passed down from one generation to another.

Great job Nancy. It's clear to see that you were the tree that your "knitting apples" fell from. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Bill and his perseverance for the current project.

I don't ever remember seeing this sweater before mother? It looks really great on Bill!

Way to go Bill! Keep up the good work and finish this sweater you are knitting. Anyone who can knit such perfect stitches NEEDS to be knitting.

Love and hugs ~

WOW!! That's amazing to me. And your sweater you knitted - the stitching, the pattern - it's all so beautiful. Very talented family!

Hey Bully, I am coming in a few weeks and I REALLY like that cardigan! :) Tee-hee! You are doing a great job on the other as well! I have yet to take on an adult sized sweater. Oh no, I did one, but it didn't come out that great. :)

love the nice work. The sweather is beautiful. I have a sweather that i love alot, I bought it at a second hand store. It looks alot like the same kind of work. I often wonder if it was hand made.
