Thankful

This is a picture of the first Thanksgiving, which was held in 1621 somewhere between September 21 and November 11th. It lasted three days. This year our Thanksgiving will also last for 3 days. My Grandaughters and their families will be coming in on Thursday after they visit their other Grandparents in Pennsylvania. Kristen for sure, Mandie if Jason can leave the army post early enough is my understanding now. They have a long drive from North Carolina. Kristen's husband is stationed at Ft. Drum in New York.
Eric is hoping to drive his semi back to Ohio to be with us, and Bill is here. Heidi and Jos of course are a total other issue. Right Heidi? We are having a dinner on Thursday, but our turkey and trimmings will be on Friday when we have a day to prepare. Both of my Grandsons will be deployed soon. Jason the end of November. I am thankful we can all be together this year, and pray they both are safe when out of the country. Thank God for our Armed Forces who keep us safe and able to celebrate our Thanksgiving.
for our armed forces, so we can have Thanksgiving here in our country. Heidi is away,
but she still has her own American Thanksgiving, and will be here in spirit.

Yes I will be there in spirit! Good job on doing this picture on your own today. I better be careful or my mother will be smarter on the computer than me but then that is not too hard. LOL! I am glad you will have Mandie and Kristy and families there with you for Thanksgiving. Tell Eric not to eat too much turkey this year!

Love and hugs ~
Heidi

Well Nancy - if there is ever a time when you find yourself missing a few relatives for the holidays...you are always welcome to make the trek into PA and have it with us!

Enjoy your time with your family this year. And I echo your prayers.

Love,
Julie

Nancy,
What a wonderful way to celebrate Thanksgiving. Being able to spend time with the family and chatting to Heidi and Jos, which I am sure you will all do, will make it a real celebration to remember. I just love that painting;
Hugs, Angela

Oh, you made me cry. I am so glad that we are able to enjoy time together! Both of our husbands are going to be gone during the same time. It means so much that others appreciate their service. I love you Gramma!

This year for Thanksgiving we invited a friend and her kids as her hubby is in the Sudan right now. My DH invited a single friend from work. It was nice to be able to keep someone from being alone on a holiday and to give another mom a break from KP duty.
