MORE HALL OF FAME EVENTS

Tonight, my two sons, my cousin Louise, George and I are going to watch the Marine Band in concert followed by fireworks. This is my favorite event of our Hall of Fame festival. Every year we try to attend.

Of course, The Marine Band just cannot be beat in my opinion. We sit on the lawn at the Masonic Temple and they set up the bandstand right in the street.

They of course play the famous marches when the fireworks are going off and this is without a doubt the best fireworks display I have ever seen.

This is a way better shot of some of the balloons we watched. This is also an event I do not like to miss. Sometimes, the weather makes it impossible to happen of course, but this year we got lucky. They go up four times.

I tried to get a good picture of the piggy bank balloon especially for Joni, who loves piggys, but this was the best I could do. It sure is a very cute balloon and is sponsored by our bank, Huntington. There is a coin going into his back. I googled to get a better picture the pros took, but it wouldn't let me download it.

Wow,some firework display Nancy. I love military bands - they play so perfectly always!! Have a great time.

I've been so terribly busy these past few weeks and somewhat lax on commenting, forgive me. I keep Jasmin every day, she's been sleeping over a lot, and she has so many classes to attend, art, dance, and we are both taking French. This eats into my free time - what free time!!!!!

Hopefully after this week things will be a bit quieter as it's getting close to school again and the Summer classes will be over - but we will continue our French.

Hope all is well - thinking of you.
Too hot for the porch but it's cool in the house - come on down!!
Hugs - Mary.

Oh my, what a fireworks! I don't think I've ever seen anything so glorious, it looks like a postcard! I love to see the balloons, too. Our balloon fest this year had very bad weather and we did not see ANY balloons. We usually get a few, sometimes several over the house.

Gorgeous fireworks!! I don't think I've ever seen ones that gorgeous. I can't wait to show the piggy balloon to Piggy (she's staying with me this week). She will be so excited!! Thanks for thinking of her, Nancy... LOL
