George and I went to the fair today, in the pouring rain, and watched the horse racing. My cousin's horse took third place and that was the first win for him. She was thrilled with third.

That is one amazing quilt with the little cross stitched pictures - must have taken a long time to complete!
The State Fair sounded fun - congrats. to your cousin's win.
Our Fair is always in October so I'll miss it this year!
Beautiful quilt. So happy to hear that Louise's horse did well in the race!
Way to go Louise!
These are Paula Vaughan designs which is what it sounded like when you described it to me. I love her charts and have some in my collection. One day when I have more time, I will stitch them. I have only done one so far.
It was so nuce if Debbie Macomber to send you an email. She sounds like a very nice person.
Love and hugs ~

Nancy, I love your State Fair pictures, particularly the ones with the quilts. These Paula Vaughan blocks look so great in the quilt. I wish I had the time to stitch a couple of them ...
Each of those quilts is more beautiful then the next, but the one with the cross stitching???? Oh my goodness! Exquisite!

How could I miss this entry? I don't know ... But good for the horse, a bronze medal! And what a stunning quilt with the stitched pieces in the blocks. Beautiful and what an hours this lady must have spent making this! Thanks for sharing & I wish you and your husband a great weekend!
