It's February, so now we might be thinking hearts. When I went to Holland last year, Heidi taught the stitching ladies who came how to make crazy quilt hearts. She let us use her stash fabric, and I pick Red, White and Blue. I took the buttons with me, and the trim. She said to think about the colors and theme we would use. I finally, TODAY, stuffed this heart and here it is. The year before, I was taught to do paper piecing. I made four coasters, here are two of them. I did like doing this method, but I am not a quilter. I will leave that to Heidi and now Eric. By the way, she yelled at me for not doing something right on one of them, I forget now what it was. LOL

I am very glad you finally stuffed that heart to use now for Valentine's day. It was really very much done and you can use it for two holidays - now and 4th of July. You did not listen to me and cut off the seam allowance. Oops! That soap does not look like soap at all. It is really pretty standing in the holder like that.
Love and hugs ~
Heidi
Nancy,
What a lovely collection of pictures. The crazy quilt heart takes me right back to the shop where we all went to buy all the pretty laces and trims to use for our project. Yours looks so pretty with it's nautical theme.
I love the little pieced coasters too. You really can turn your hand to anything :>)
It's so nice to see your Valentine exchange piece again. I can't believe how quickly the year has flown. I agree, Barbara is such a kind and thoughtful friend :>)
Hugs, Angela
Hi Nancy....I like your patriotic heart... and the embleshiments are just the perfect touches....you can just do everthing. That is sure a sweet tuck pillow from your friend and the way you are displaying Sweetie's gift is neat...I'd never guess it was soap...too pretty to use, that's for sure...hugs, Linda
Hi Nancy, Your heart looks lovely and I was so pleased that you have finished yours, you can see mine on my picture trail album along with my valentine tree. I love the soap that Sweetie sent you and agree it is to pretty to use. Warm hugs, Hazel
I thought I was on the wrong Blog. I like what you've done with it, very pretty. Your little quilted heart is so pretty, and that soap is amazing, looks more like a photo. I'm so glad you like the little pillow, thank you for using it.
Hugs,
Barbara
Me again, I forgot to tell you I like the coasters also. I love the set Heidi made for me. And have them out, not for use, just to show.
Hugs,
Barbara
Such fun things. I love the sheep and the soap! I like the heart you made and the paper piecing. I haven't done paper piecing except to be shown a very simple one that maybe I'll make some day (it was just a side note in a quilt class where I was learning a different technique). Have a great weekend!
Your display of sheep is very charming, Nancy! Love your finishes too.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Carolien
Nancy,I like the new template for your blog - which one did you use?
Today I've packed the parcel after unearthing tape and paper from where I'd hidden (I mean stored) them while painting etc. I'll get to the P.O. early in the week and send it on its merry way.
Love all the Valentine things Nancy - can't believe it's already a year since the last one!
Hugs - Mary.
Nancy, your crazy quilt heart looks beautiful. It was just the perfect time to stuff and finish it. Enjoy all the other Valentine goodies!
You are amazing in changing the look of your blog! I like it! And I like all the knitting pictures you have been showing us lately. They are so cute.
And is it contagious (besmettelijk...Heidi, heb ik het goede woord gebruikt?)this decorating your home every season? I love your hearts!!
Hi Nancy, Thanks for sharing the Valentine pretties. I love what you did with the sheep. I'd like to go back to that shop soon. I also wanted to let you know that I have two family lines back to the 1600s. I have met distant cousins through the Internet and two even visited me. Also, how is Heidi
Hugs,
Sweetie
