OFF WE GO

TO CANADA Tomorrow morning, we are heading North, over the Peace Bridge to Canada. For many years we have been going to this small family owned inn. It is The Inn at Lock 7, located in Thorold. It is not far from Niagara Falls Canada and Niagara On The Lake. We always used to go to Niagara, which I still love. We found this place and now both love it.

We always choose to have a room on the third floor and spend most of our time sitting on the balcany watching huge ships coming through the locks. When we come back, I will post pictures I will take while we are there this time. I have taken pictures in the past but lost them when my old computer crashed and burned the mother board.

Lucky for us, we both love this quite time. We sit and stitch, read and George plays his solitaire game. They serve a small breakfast there. Homemade muffins, toast, juice, coffee,or tea. We have gotten to know the owners well. They know George's voice on the phone when he calls to get a room. The ships are just across this lawn, then across a road. The lock is right there. I will post when I get home again on Thursday. Bye for now.

I see you noticed the castle in the back ground of my photo.
It a replica of Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria made by Lenox. I treasure it because I have been there and My Father gave it to me for my birthday about 20 years ago,
The doily.. it is on was made by my Mom. crocheted with #10 pearl cotton very fine thread.
Thank you for your comments.
Have a great time in Niagara. sounds like fun!

It is our normal time to talk on Skype and just wanted to say I am missing you! I know though that you are enjoying your time at the lock as you always do. Hope you get some stitching done while sitting and watching the ships go by.....

Nancy, I always enjoy your blog so much. You lead such an interesting life. Have a great peaceful time in Canada. You mentioned Louise. How is she? I have a picture of you, Louise and I sitting on the banister of your front porch on Easter Sunday when we were young. Please tell her hi for me. Thank you for being happy for Bill. He couldn't find a job anywhere with his health record but is well qualified for this job.

Love, Vicki

Dear Nancy
I hope you have a wonderful time in my "native land". I know where Thorold is and that sounds like such a relaxing vacation.
Enjoy yourselves.
