READING, KNITTING AND DOCTORS

I finished this teen sized poncho and today I sold the first one I knit. It was the multi colored adult size. My friend bought it for her MIL, who is in a nursing home and always cold. Hope she will enjoy wearing it. I am starting another one today. I also chrocheted a hat. It is cute and I will show you another time. I didn't take a picture yet.
I had curtains down in three rooms to wash too. I love it when they are clean and up again.
I just finished this book, she is one of my favorite authors and I never miss her books.

This book belongs to a friend. I have read this author before, but she is not a favorite. I started one by Luann Rice now. I bought two by her from a flee market.

On Wednesday, July 22nd, I will go in for day surgery. I met with the surgeon today and he explained it to George and me. I had the option to choose the lumpectomy or massectomy. I chose the lumpectomy.
The doctor thinks it will be fine. I will be also talking to my family doctor, who is wonderful, to see if she agrees. I think she will since this is what she told me to expect. I chose the lumpectomy. He will check while I am in the surgery to see if the lymph nodes are effected. George wanted it done tomorrow. It doesn't work that way. I am totally ok with it and I believe what God wills, will happen.

Hi Nancy
I just read Heidi's blog and was saddened to hear that you have breast cancer. I know so many women who have survived it and are healthy today. I'll be praying for you and I'm sure it will all turn out fine.
Hugs, Rhondi

I'll keep you in my prayers and also that the surgeons hands may be guided. I truly pray that the lumpectomy takes care of it and I can sense that you feel very calm about it. You're such an inspiring woman with your faith that it will all be as it should be. Take care of yourself and I'll touch base with you later. God bless Nancy.

You have been on my mind today, I've been wondering about your doctor appointment. Each person needs to make their own decision...which I think is very difficult but you need to weigh all the information and do what you feel is good for you. There are so many of us who have survived and are going strong, you will be one too....you are in my thought and prayers....hugs, Linda

p.s. Congrats on your first sale....it will be perfect for this little lady and keep her warm and toasty.

I am glad you had the first appointment and still want to hear what the doctor said about the two choices. I tried asking you yesterday and you never told me. I know these decisions are not easy which is why Jos and I did so much research when I had to decide on surgery or risking rad. therapy first. Whatever you decide will be right for you.

Love and hugs ~
Heidi

Hi Nancy, have been thinking of you and pleased at least you have made a choice and do hope the doctor agrees with you, take one step at a time and I am sure you will be okay. Remember Faith can move Mountains.

Nice that you have sold a poncho and I am sure that is just the beginning of a successful hobby.
Take care and keeping you in my prayers also George and family.

Such a difficult decision. But I have the impression that you feel fine with the decision you took because you seem to have doctors that are very caring and careful. I will be thinking of you these days.

Lumpectomy is the way to go since it sounds like it's still encapsulated. Been there, done that! You will be fine. Mine was a breeze and that's been 15 years ago. The only problem you will have is that one breast will be slightly smaller than the other - still not a big deal! Take it easy when you come home for a few weeks. You are in my prayers!
