SURGERY UPDATE

This is the hospital I had my surgery at on Weds. It all went as planned from what I hear. The doctor spoke to George and my sons and DIL. He said he went in three times to get all the tissue to satisfy the pathologist. He took out three lymph nodes, one was cancer, one iffy and the other, not sure what he said about that one.
I am not taking the pain meds today and I feel more normal. I was so tired yesterday, I couldn't stay awake. I go back to the surgeon next Thursday.
Thanks to all of you for your prayers and good wishes.

You sounded so much better on the phone although you sounded amazingly good on the day after too. Just continue to rest enough. Not need to rush being up and about as you have lots of time to do all you want later.

Love and hugs ~

I'm so glad you were doing well when you posted this! This is good news. We're still praying that all pathology comes back as having gotten all the cancer out. Thank you for your kind thoughts on my son. It's a heck of a deal and he has a long road to go yet before we can say he's recovered but we'll take every little bit of improvement that happens as a good sign. Hope that made sense. I also wanted to say that you have a cute new layout! I love the "picnicky" look and the ants and watermelon. Makes me want to go to the park and have a picnic! Cindy

P.S. Have you heard from Sweetie? Is she doing okay? I think of her often and stop by occasionally just to drop her a line.

Hello Neighbor!

I saw in your comment to Joyful Chaos that you lived in Ohio near the Amish Communities...I live in Marysville...NW of Columbus.

I've added your blog to my reader! So sorry you've had to have surgery, but hope this finds you feeling much better!

PS...I've not visited the Amish Comm. yet, but I have visited the Der Dutchman Restaurant in Plain City which is nearby. ☺
I've only lived here 4 years this Christmas. I'm a Western Ky Native.

Nancy,
I'm glad to hear you're feeling better today. You're bound to be tired, anaesthetics stay in the system a long time. Rest and drink lots of liquids as they clean it out of your system. Look after yourself.
Warm thoughts Angela

It's good to hear you feel better, and don't need the pain medicine.
But surgery and the anaesthesia arn't nothing. Take lots of rests, and give your body and yourself time to recover.
