Happy Halloween

A couple years ago, I was lucky enough to take a bus trip and spend an evening and part of a day in Salem, Mass. We were there for the big parade, and I do mean big. They actually have
a "head"witch there. She owns her own shop. Now they doooo believe in witches. I wish I would have had more time there.
Ok, my husband has a real sense of humor. He said one day, "If the Amish kids go trick or
treating, do they dress up as Englishers?"
Last year for Christmas, I made 6 calendars for my family. Kristy was selling the calendars with her Close to my Heart things. I did birthdays of each person in the correct month, and almost had someone in every month. There were none in October, so I put Fawn, my daughter, and
her grandchildren, my greatgrandchildren on that month. I have to figure out a way to now use it for next year. It becomes a birthday calendar also.
Zoe was a little Tinkerbell here, and now this year at a big age five, she is a new Tinkerbell in a new dress for her kindergarten class. The three kindergarden classes are marching in the school today and she is one excited little girl. Wish I could be there to see her.

You need to book a trip just to Salem mother! I love your Amish dolls. They are different than mine. Where did you get them? George is such a prankster. I can't wait to see our little Zoe as Tinkerbell again this year. I hope Mandie sends some photos right away after school!

Love and hugs ~

I found your blog through your daughter Heidi. I see the talent runs in the family. I saw your son's quilt. He did a great job and I like the selection of fabrics. Does he have a blog too? Your husband needs one for his great sense of humor! LOL! Thanks for sharing I will visit again.

I've been to Salem...years ago on a school trip. We went to the museum and probably had even less time in the town than you did.

That was a fun trip...thanks for the reminder of a great memory.

Nancy,
What lovely calendars you made and such a good idea too. I love your Amish dolls, in fact, my little girl doll is just like yours, maybe a bit smaller.
What a great picture of you outside the Salem museum. It must be a fascinating place. The trip sounds wonderful. No wonder Heidi says you need to go just there and no where else!!
Hugs, Angela

Happy Halloween!

I love the Amish children. All things Amish really. I've always wanted to go to Salem. But I've heard from too many people that it's not all it's cracked up to be. Do you feel that way?

Love,
Julie

The Amish dolls are adorable, but I have to wonder if Amish and Halloween really mix. :) The calendars are great! I just love mine! It is in my dining room. Happy Halloween!
