Mad at Joann Fabrics

I got mad Joann Fabrics because I ordered the yarn for the last sweater I made (Bill's)
from Joann.com and tried to exchange two skeins I didn't need for another color. I was
going to buy 7 more skeins, but they would not do it.
I took the yarn home and started this sweater for myself. I need a contrasting color, so
I went to Pat Catans, a local craft store and they had the Patons Merino Wool on sale.
I bought two skeins of brown, and this is the finished product. I also bought nine more
skeins of grey there. The yolk is seed stitch.

Oh, Gramma, I love it! Hmmmm, let's see..... My favorite sweater color is a cream color or a brown or a heather and I have a very long torso. :) No, really, this came out really nicely! Only you could wing a sweater and have it come out that nicely! Awesome! Take that, Joann's! :)

Oh I really like it better mixed like this with the solid color and the varigated. I still don't get why Joann's is getting so funny about things with their customers. Like not wanting to cut more pieces of fabric for Kristy. They are going to loose customers this way.

And you and Bill are all set for the coming Ohio winter! SNOW SNOW SNOW...and please share some with me! :)

Love and hugs ~

I don't understand why they wouldn't exchange it for you. It's not as if it's something you're ingesting. I would have been upset too.

But, I like the skeins you got!

Love,
Julie

I would be mad too, but what a beautiful sweater! You do such amazing knitting.

I enjoyed your photos of Ohio, and I have a very sentimental attachment to the wonderful State. I wish I lived in the first photo!

I'm glad you like my Halloween sampler. Aren't the witches the best! As for the spider candle holders - can you believe I found them at Big Lots!

Well...Joanns just lost a good customer. Why in the heck wouldn't they take something bought from them online! How ridiculous! I have never been to a store where they wouldn't take back something bought from them online. But the sweater turned out cute anyway!

Love you!

Gosh nancy,
What a fabulous sweater. i love the colour variations. I can't believe you stitched it so quickly. I'm amazed at Jo Ann's, I thought it was standard procedure to exchange left over skeins if they were unopened. But, you live and learn and I'm sure won't be one of their customers again. Never mind though, it resulted in this beautiful creation :>)

Yup...leave it to a chain store to give you poor customer service.

I've never had a bad experience with them. But I've only ever gone down to the Ogdensburg location for fabric when it is on sale. I can't wait until the sale just after the American Thanksgiving. Last time I went, I got an awsome deal on flannel and I use quite a bit of it to make preemie quilts.
