Ohio Amish Country

Traveling to Amish Country, this is one of the roads we chose. The color is just not very good
in Ohio this year. It still was a very pretty road to go down.
This is an Amish school, which I am planning to make for my next dollhouse. I have dolls, but
I have to make their clothes.

We came upon this open buggy with two little girls in the back. I just love and never get tired
of seeing them.

This is a house with an Amish church in session. They park the buggys wherever they can
while church is in session.

Heidi, I took this picture for you. This is the quilt shop in one of the books we read. It really is there in Berlin so come see it.

Well you know I LOVE THESE PHOTOS!!! They do make me a bit homesick. I really have inherited your love of all things Amish. I still have to read book three of that series.

Love and hugs ~

Wow Nancy,
I just loved your photos. The roads seem to lead endlessly into the distance making the landscape look wide and very peaceful. What a wonderful picture of the Amish family with the two little bonneted girls. When we visited some Amish farms back in 1996, we followed a very similar buggy. Gramma Fannie's quilt barn looks wonderful. I can imagine the treasures inside...sigh! No wonder Heidi is homesick.

Hi Aunt Nancy,
I just have to say I love the pictues of Amish country and how fun to see the ones of you and Heidi. Aren't we (me, Matt and our assistants) lucky to get to see scenery like that on our way to work some days?
Great job on your blog. I showed Mom last weekend and she kept saying "I don't understand that Blob."
love,
Shari

I love the photos! I also enjoy riding through Amish country and would very much enjoy putting up a hammock and reading on the crisp days amongst the calm surroundings. The picture of the children in the buggy is precious!
