A STORY FROM HEIDI TO OUR ONLINE STITCHNG GROUP

I have made very many things for the holidays over the years. I will share a couple of them over the coming days. One thing I remember was stitching a Christmas mouse for my mother and father when I had just moved over to Europe. I sat alone in a little apartment in Brussels, Belgium during the day awaiting Jos getting home from work. I was afraid to venture out much farther than the tiny supermarket just two blocks up from us. I spent the day stitching away on this adorable mouse carrying holly if I remember correctly. In those days, there was no email and I used to write home to them a little each day and then mail the letter at the end of the week. Do you have the mouse out this year mother? Maybe you can share a photo of it as I don’t have

Hi Barbara, I may just have to copy down that recipe. DH loves potato soup. Unfortunately, it is in the high 70's so no soup tonight or tomorrow.

Love the little mouse that Heidi stitched for you.

With holiday stitches,
peace and goodwill,
Roberta

This little mouse is so pretty and has a look of Heidi about her - a little shy but inquisitive enough to eventually venture out to find out what's happening in the outside world :>)
It's so lovely having such a special memento especially as it has such wonderful memories to go with it.
Hugs, Angela

The mouse is adorable! I love the idea of writing a little each day and then mailing it at the end of the week! Merry Christmas!

Are you and Heidi doing a duo-job with this blog-entry? It looks lovely, this little mouse. Seems you are a lady who treasures memories and keeps them with you over the years. How big is your attick by the way....LOL.It is nice to have so many good memories!

So nice to see Miss Chrsitmas Mouse once again! It has been many years ago that I made her. It brings back lots of memories of sitting in Brussels. :)

Love and hugs ~
