Ok, news on Heidi is not quite so easy. She has to stick her neck out. Today she had yet another needle put this time in her arm, to measure the weight of her thyroid. Tomorrow she does have to be admitted to the hospital. She will drink the radio active JUNK, and will have to stay in over night. What she wears in has to stay there, so she is hunting old clothes. She has to only take books, no handwork and her book covers can be wrapped in plastic wrap. Gees, this is just not fun at all. She asked if she could run away to Ohio and I said of course. The problem would come too, so guess she better just put her neck out there and do it.
Needless to say, I will be saying LOTS of prayers for you my little Heidi.

Should I tell them that I cannot stay since I have to talk to my mother every day...lol! Do you think that would help? I just hope the time goes by quickly. I have a stack of magazines ready to take along thanks to Carolien. I am taking ones I don't mind having to leave there. How can I survive without needle and thread????????
Love and hugs ~
Heidi
I'll keep both of you in my prayers. I had no inkling that radioactive iodine treatments involved so much but I guess it does make sense. May God bless you both with improved health after these procedures.
Dear Nancy, I am so happy to read that your surgery went well. So now we can focus on Heidi and help her through her treatment. Heidi and you are really special for each other, as you go through hospital problems at the same time. liefs Sonja
Nancy, I am so glad that your surgery is behind you and that you are doing so well. I know that you are concerned about Heidi and wish that you could be with her. My prayers are with both of you.
Love,
Sweetie
Nancy, it's so good all went well for you. I'll be keeping Heidi in my thoughts and prayers....I had no idea how complicated her procedure is but thank goodness for this specialized medicine. Take care...hugs, Linda
p.s. When I was twelve my mom and I had shared a hospital room for an over night stay...we both had minor procedures...this was before out patient surgery. It was kind of a fun sleep over...L

Nancy,
Great news that your eye surgery has gone well. That's a big weight off your mind but, not as big, I'm sure as that of Heidi's treatment. It must be extra hard being so far away from her but, as I said before, please try not to worry as she is in the best possible hands. Thinking of you both and sending lots of healing thoughts.
Hugs Angela
Glad it all went this morning Aunt Nancy! Heidi, I'll be thinking about you!

Nancy, I'm really glad to read that everything went well with your eye surgery. My mom had the same surgery done on both her eyes and she was so glad that she could see a lot better afterwards.
I'll continue thinking of Heidi.
Happy to hear that your procedure went well Nancy.
At least you no longer have that to worry about.
Thinking about Heidi who has such a great attitude still seeing the humour in things.
I just can't imagine her without needle and thread either!
