MAKING GIFTS

I have a birthday coming up for a family member, so I have been knitting and chrocheting this weekend. This isn't the total gift, but at least part of it will be finished. I get two hanging towels out of each towel I buy.
I can safely show these things, because the person they are for doesn't come to my blog. She loves these towels and wants me to teach her to make them, but so far, we haven't seemed to find the time to get together for the lesson. They are so very easy to make and she will catch on right away.

The dish cloth is another item she likes and wants to learn to knit. Next week, I will be giving her the gifts. I am working on many other projects also. An afghan is sitting here beside my chair, and I have some stitched items I need to finish with some backing. I have also been trying out some new items on my embroidery machine. I need more hours in the day. I sure don't like that it is dark and it is only 5:20PM. Hope your weekend is going well.

I love your towels. I enjoy making them too. I've been working on some with fall decorations.

Oh Nancy, You are so talented. The towels are lovely and they make wonderful gifts. My mother used to buy me those dish cloths from a friend that made them. We just got back from Seth's birthday party and I'm working on the meeting minutes for the Historical Society. Sometime I'd love to hear about your trip to Holland.
Love,
Sweetie

Oke, I want to learn to make the towels and dish cloths too. When can I come over, so you can teach me??
Or maybe, I have to ask Heidi if she can teach me..
Love what your making, and you are so right, that there aren't enough hours in a day. I have to work the whole week, and have serveral appointments at the evenings, so there is not much time form me to be creative this week. but i'm gona try to find some time here and there.

Hello Nancy, you are making wonderful gifts again.
Thanks for sharing the photos. Today the weather in Holland is bad. There are showers of rain and it is dark early. Alas in my house there is too little light so I have to lit the lamps in the early afternoon!
Hugs, Elly

These towels are the absolute best thing ever!! I buy them at Quilted Bear when I go to SL. There's a lady there who has them in a booth along with the washcloths and different things. The washcloths absorb so much water too! What a talented lady you are. I know she'll love the gift. I agree with yoou about the time. So much I want to do but never enough time for it. Crazy, but there's always time for the work, LOL! I have to tell you I told my aunt that I could hardly wait to retire so I'd have some time. She laughed at me and told me that she has LESS free time now she retired than she had before! Say it ain't so!! LOL. No rest in this life I guess!
